I feel that I have neglected this project while rendering the illustration for my other project. It can be too easy to think that it will not make a difference if I skip a day because I am working on something else.
I have created a few sketches while commuting but not many.
I have also played with watercolour at home. I watched an interview with Paul Cox where he gives a demonstration of how he works and it inspired me to create fast sketches from photos or part of a photo and try adding watercolour without concentrating too much to see what happened.
I have enjoyed working like this and I can see how some of these sketches could be the start of an illustration.
I want to spend more time working with watercolour. In the interview, Paul Cox also mentions how he sometimes sketch on location and adds colour at home. This is something I might try as, at least at that stage, I find it difficult to add colour to a sketch on location.
